Bagless Vacuum or Bagged Vacuum?

If sales are any indication to which is better, well the nod may go to bagless models as sales continue to rise and they are out selling bagged units. I don’t believe you should base your buying information on that one piece of information, so we will attempt to present both pros and cons of each style giving you additional information in which to base your decision on.

Dyson came out with the first bagles vacuum cleaner in 1993, which had a clear casing so you could view the dirt, dust and debris. Today major manufacturers such as Hoover and Eureka also provide bagless vacuum. Bagless vacuum manufacturers claim to be more efficient and provide constant suction power. They also claim to save time and money because there is no need to purchase or replace bags.

Manufacturers of the bagged style vacuum, contend that the bagles units are very dirty, and if you have any allergies or are sensitive to dust you should stay away from the bagles vacuum cleaner.  They also contend that emptying the bagles canister is a very messy job, while bagless supporters suggest it is quick and easy. Both models can provide exceptional cleaning ability, this is one debate that may never end.
